Knowing your dwarf hamster is a great thing to help you have a bond with your tiny fury friend. Hamsters do not require a lot of work but they are fun to watch and play with. Hamsters like being clean so they do require a little work on the up keep of their cages. You need to provide a proper nutritional diet to keep them healthy so this is a small job.

Dwarf hamsters also require a lot of exercise. But if you provide enough entertainment for them it will not require a lot on your part. This will maintain a happy and healthy hamster. Tubes and toys can be moved to different areas to keep them from getting bored.

If you get nipped when you first bring your pet home do not get discouraged. This will take some time, training and patience. When a dwarf hamster is annoyed with you their ears will be curled and laid back. If you disturb them while their sleeping you will usually see this because they are nocturnal pets. Before you handle your hamster let them get fully awake.

Though your pet is tiny they still need to have room to run and play. Provide your hamster with a good size cage with tunnels to go back in forth in with another cage. So your hamster does not die from boredom. Hamsters can run for miles a day and are fast in their natural habitat. Place your pet in a ball or hamster mobile if you take your pet out of their cage. But do not place them where anyone can kick it by accident or around steps. Your pet can get seriosly hurt or death can occur.

Dwarf hamsters are fun, cute, fury and a good pet to have for you and the rest of the family. Just remember they are tiny and fragile.
