Some Must Know Facts About Persian Chinchillas
When you see a cat which is majestic and impressive looking you should know that you are looking at a full-blooded Persian cat. These cats have muscular bodies and brawny legs with a face which looks punched. They thrive on attention from you if you are a cat lover and also from people who do not like cats.
The breed of Persian cats is divided into further families where a some of their characteristics tend to vary. Mainly the difference is in the color of their coats and a closer observation reveals further details in which they tend to differ. The Chinchilla breed in particular has some very strikingly different characteristics that make it special.
The Chinchilla Cat Club was started in 1908 when these cats were being exported to USA. When you have a Chinchilla breed on your hand and you have to be sure that it is a Persian Chinchilla cat, only way to do is to inspect the color of their coat as that is the area where you will observe the difference. The colors of the hair can actually vary. For example a pedigree Persian cat of black color would have only 1/7 of its hair as black.
In general a Chinchilla Persian cat has an undercoat of pure white and the fur on the back, head, tail and flanks is tipped black that gives off a characteristic of a sparkling silver coat. The legs of these cats can at times be slightly speckled with black tips whereas the chin, ear tuffs, chest and stomach are always pure white.
The main appealing characteristic about these cats is the darkened rim of the eyes that would make you consider them as wearing eye makeup. Also the lips and nose are outlined black.
Then there is the Silver Shaded, which has more of a variety in the tips of its colored coat. The colors can fascinatingly vary from lilac and blue to chocolate. This makes the Silver Shading have more shadows in its coat as compared to the Chinchilla. You can visualize the great shadowy effect the coat would give off.
Also there is the Golden Shaded where the primary coat is multi colored which again is magnificent and a pleasure to see because of the wonderful effect it gives to the coat of the cat. Furthermore there is a breed known as the Cameo Persian which has some red in the tips of the coat.
All these cats are known for their gorgeous dark rimmed eyes, nose and mouth, except for the Golden shaded whose eyes and nose is outlined in brown in place of black. The eye color of these cats is primarily supposed to be green or blue-green. This recognized characteristic in all Chinchilla, Golden Shaded, Silver Shaded and Cameo Persian cats helps to differentiate the pedigree because a pure-bred cats eye color will be either green or blue-green.
