Pretty Great – Blue Buffalo Dog Food Review

There was no response, the “customer service representative” if you can call her that, simply said “if you don’t like it then don’t buy it.” And then she hung up on me. Buying at Amazon is a great way to buy, because they have the 7 pounder! I expected Newman’s Own dog food to be great.

Since we changed over to Newman’s, the skin problems have almost gone away. It’s been about 2 months and she has her fur growing back in the problem areas, she has less dandruff and I’ve noticed a lot less scratching from her in general. They gobble it up! After trying several foods and making all my own dog food we tried Paul Newman and all was well, Maggie and her friends thrived. Well Our grocery stores did not always have it in stock and it ranged from 13 to 17 dollars for 7 pounds, also at Wal-Mart is was past its expiration date and rancid. As soon as I quit feeding him this poison, he started getting better. I was one of the lucky ones since my pet did not die, but as I write this, he still has not gained all his weight back. Of the top five ingredients, before the fat (in this case chicken fat), three are animal protein meal, Chicken, Turkey and Lamb meals. The other two ingredients are Brown and White rice, good easily digestible grains.

Newman’s Own has been an excellent choice for my dog. The ingredients are organic and high quality; her coat is beautifully conditioned and she has never had an allergic response as with some of the more expensive products from the vet’s office.

He also NEVER EVER has gas (but he does burp from time to time but not smelly like others have mentioned). I wasn’t happy when the price increased and the quality supposedly dropped a bit but I am still happy with this food overall and have continued to use it.

These are all signs that she is on a great diet! Also, I love the subscribe feature because I don’t have to lug heavy bags of dog food from my car to my 3rd floor apartment!

I get it delivered regularly, so this negates the need to make a special trip to get Dog food. The last two bags I received had a mite in the foods which caused my dog to have severe bouts of diarrhea.

But for the past month or so when the formula was changed and put on the shelf our dog has been having an allergic reaction to something. At first we thought it was just allergies as dogs like humans, change as they get older. We have a small Border collie mix and she absolutely loves this food.
