Sadly , snakes, like all reptiles, will not breed easily in prison. This is clearly no reason explaining why herpetologists should just keep single samples, in truth many species have bred while in the hands of private collectors, and there isn't any doubt if snake owners took the effort to invest in collecting a pair of snakes of both sexes there would be more baby snakes born in captivity.
